America picture interperation

My interperation of the sign "This is America..when ordering..please speak english" is that America isnt really accepting of other cultures that dont adapt to the American ways. Americas mentality is that if you come to America you have to become accustumed with the American way. You have to learn the language and learn the norms. If someone comes to America dont expect America to adapt to you, you have to adapt to America. I completely agree with this because America has come a long way and has been through a lot to become the nation it is today. People come to America because they want to make a better life for themselves and i think the government is fairly accomadating of them if they take the various steps to become a citizen. In my opinion, we are doing  immigrants a favor by giving them an opportunity to come here. However, if foreigners are coming  to the United States for a "free ride", thats not gonna happen. Foreigners have to conform to the American ways and shouldnt be offended when we dont change our ways to make them more at home. They are in America now....not home.
